TRACINGS
These explorations on attachment and memory are created by tracing objects of personal significance. Each one relates to a person, event, place, or creative process. Outlining a single object multiple times balances meditative repetition with variations of angle, pressure, colour, placement and type of tool. As the work evolves, the concept of tracing comes to denote not only outlining but also tracking, seeing where a trail leads as the many lines merge into evocative forms. All images acrylic on panel.
