SILENT NARRATIVES
Frank Delaney says, “Storytelling—from wherever it comes—forms a layer in the foundation of the world.” This ongoing series of book works originates in my interest in the stories we tell ourselves in response to our perceptions. Sometimes I interact with the content of a book that is already printed. Other times I construct an accordion format, because I want to present a theme without a pre-determined sequence. I consider these pieces to be silent because their story can only be completed at the meeting point of the maker, the materials and the reader.
