BEAUTIES OF SCIENCE
This series uses images from the natural sciences to symbolize four of the many beauties of scientific exploration. At the same time each print also illustrates the questioning viewpoint common to all creative endeavour. The scientist uses a system of observation–asking, “What is it I perceive?” Then she explores her perception through experiment, asking, “What if I do this?” Looking to understand more deeply, he experiments further to clarify his results using the language of words, numbers and symbols. Constant evaluation promotes an honest assessment of current findings, asking, “How unbiased are my conclusions?”
