Art offers us all a fresh perspective. It's not only the viewer who experiences this. In the making, the artist too can be caught by a new aspect of an idea, a person or place as a result of his/her searching gaze and choice of method. The work is formed somewhere inside the interaction between the artist, the viewer and the materials. And it is renewed every time someone stops to look at it.

Whether making original prints, artists' books or collages, many of my works derive from previous work in some way‚ perhaps a print starts as the ghost of a previous one; a collage may include parts of an earlier print; a folded print may become the pages of a book. Everything is connected. Everything is made fresh.
