MATERIALS LIST
Quest Paper Transformations Workshop:
(Basic Kit: notebook, pencil, metal ruler, eraser, good paper scissors, cutting knife)
–Works on paper that you are willing to fold, tear or cut to use as a support or inclusion, and/or good drawing paper, light watercolour paper or printmaking paper. Pre colour if desired.
–A selection of images from magazines and/or newspapers, and/or personal photographs. If personal photographs, use photocopies—laser copies won't run when dampened by glue, ink jet will blur or run if wet.
–Glue sticks: one repositionable if available, one regular (If you get the kind that is coloured when first applied but dries clear, it is easy to see where you have put the glue.) & old magazine as a gluing surface
–Small container of acrylic gel medium & small stiff brush
–Rag and/or sponge to dampen for wiping hands and wiping off excess glue, paper towels
–Bone folder or hard rubber roller or wooden spoon for encouraging materials to stick/lay flat
–Any stamps or soft lino plates on hand
–Cotton swabs
–A small piece of light weight sandpaper
As available/desired:
–Dry colouring media as preferred (conté, coloured pencils)
–Wet media as preferred (watercolour, acrylic, ink) and palette, brush(es) & water container
–Japanese papers / thin fabric /old book(s). No gift wrap
–Self-healing cutting mat
–Needle and thread, decorative tape(s), small beads, etc.
–Stickers, peel & stick letters
–Ribbons
–Alphabetic rubber stamp set and/or any rubber stamps on hand and ink pad(s)
–Your own lino and/or wood relief blocks and any printmaking inks and brayers you may have.
